Finally, a little action might take place in the portfolio today with the placement of 2 orders.
The first will be an addition to one of the current holdings. And the second is to buy stock in a company that designs and produces footwear.
If these go through I'll post more about them later today, this evening or tomorrow morning.
Designs and produces footwear. OK, I'll bite. DECK? Scores well on my screens. If it is DECK, looking forward to hearing why the 52% of the float that's short is wrong.

My guesses are TBL or SHOO.

We must be using the same stock screen.

Earvin,
Well, I wish I could give you a prize for calling this pick in advance.
I actually don't use a screen, if by that you mean a computer program, etc. I just read and read and read. Something will get my interest and I'll explore it a bit more. It's hard to explain.
Thanks, as always, for stopping by.
P.S. You too, Doug.

Can I ask then what you were reading that brought you to DECK?

I was reading filings on the SEC EDGAR site. Saw that a couple of value firms had recently bought it. I then researched the company on WSJ.com. I then searched news article on it on Google News. I read all this stuff, then absorbed it. Then I put it all away to mull it over for a while (as in a couple of weeks or more). At that point, I went back and looked over everything again, and it all still appealed to me. The stock price was near the 52-week low. I decided to buy.
