When I saw Barron's cover story on Saturday, I thought of how I missed the boat on buying Berkshire Hathaway stock at the height of the tech bubble.
I've said that before, several times, and Andrew Bary's feature piece simply reminded me of that fact.
I've been swamped with non-blogging chores since the middle of last week. So I still haven't read the article closely. And I haven't looked at Berkshire recently. But my guess is that the stock trades at fair value or slightly more than fair value. I would be surprised if it was hugely overvalued.
In short, I'd continue holding the stock if it was already in my portfolio.
And, whether you've read the Barron's cover story or not, make a note to read Geoff Gannon's examination of Berkshire and Andrew Bary's piece. You can be sure Geoff will provide a fair, even-handed, objective analysis.
