Bill Rempel's Latest (Non) Adventure with Seeking Alpha
Some time back when I told Seeking Alpha I no longer wanted to be one of their contributors, I requested they remove my profile and any posts from Controlled Greed that they've used. I was told that wasn't possible.
I thought, and still think, that's bad form, tacky, and otherwise unworthy of an otherwise fine site.
I got to reflecting on that when reading Bill Rempel's latest experience with Seeking Alpha. Check it out because it makes very interesting reading.
Sheesh, I didn't know about that roach motel effect: "Your content can get in but it can't get out." It's worse than bad form and tacky, it's completely unethical (assuming they don't disclose that clearly upfront).

Thanks for pointing this one out, John. I am an occassional contributor to Seeking Alpha (and a relatively new one).
Some interesting points to consider in Bill's article, and I have thought about what you said in the past on this issue as well.

CM: I can't remember what they disclosed, but I doubt they stated that clearly.
David: Contributing to SA can be a good idea, if the situations described by Bill Rempel and me fit. They don't fit for me.
