Don't Cry for Joe Lewis (at least not yet)

Yeah, he lost a bundle on Bear Stearns. But he reportedly maintains a bundle even now. The Daily Telegraph quotes a source as saying Lewis still has approximately £2 billion, and for you football/soccer fans out there:

Joe Lewis, the secretive Bahamas-based billionaire who controls Tottenham's parent company ENIC, has reassured Spurs chairman Daniel Levy that the £500 million loss on his investment in the collapsed American bank Bear Stearns will not force him to sell the club.

Another article in today's Telegraph says Lewis is working to block the deal, and reports he paid cash for his stake in Bear Stearns, using no leverage.
